Hello, and welcome to Eureka Rewind!

This episode is our introduction to the series. We’ll discuss what drew us to the series for the first time, the cast and what impact the show has had on us as individuals and on the TV culture. Next week we will start an episode-by-episode watching of the series and we’d love to have you join us on the long journey! We’ll include details at the end of the show for how you can get in touch with us to send in feedback or to volunteer as a guest!

Segment 1: First, we will share our “Eureka story.” When did you first watch it, what was the appeal for you and what are looking forward to in our discussions?

Segment 2: Let’s now talk about the show itself. Eureka tells the story of “a U.S. Marshal who becomes the sheriff of Eureka, a remote, cozy little Northwestern town where the best minds in the US have secretly been tucked away to build futuristic inventions for the government which often go disastrously wrong.” This is the description on IMDB. It aired on the Sci-Fi network from 2006-2012 and is currently available for streaming in the US on Peacock and Amazon Prime.

Segment 3: Next, let’s discuss the cast and crew for the show.

Eureka was created by Andrew Cosby and Jaime Paglia. They have few credits aside from this show. Let’s discuss the cast next.

Thank you for joining today for this flagship show of Eureka Rewind! We hope that this has whet your appetite to dive deep into the series once again or for the first time. We want this show to be as interactive as possible. Some of you are watching for the first time, so during our episode discussions we will discuss each episode on its own without spoilers for the future episodes (mostly because Steph hasn’t seen any other episodes!)

For our episode next week, we will review the pilot episode which first aired on July 18th, 2006.

We are proud to be a part of the TV Rewind network of podcasts. Since 2010, Stephanie has been hosting TV Rewind about current tv shows and expanded into a network of podcasts about throwback shows in 2016.

Please reach out to us if you’d be interested in guest hosting on Eureka Rewind. You can sign up on the Google Doc which is linked on the TV Rewind Facebook group.
You can send us feedback via email and we would love to hear from you! We’re not in Apple Podcasts yet, but will be soon!

Connect via Twitter or join our group at Facebook.

A note: This episode was recorded on September 18th and I've had it back from editing since October 12th, so apologizes that it has taken me so long to get this posted.

Here is our final regular episode of Chuck Rewind (finally). Thank you all for hanging out with us all this time. We hope you enjoy one last discussion and thank you to Jeff for joining us. Message him on Twitter to be part of the Chuck watch party group called “Stableonthelabel.”

Today we gather together one more time to talk about this show that all of us watched for a repeat time. We are joined today by Jeff Spector who watched along with us and appeared in a special episode between seasons 4 and 5. We started this journey together in September of 2020 and here we are wrapping it up in September of 2022. You could still be listening to this in the future but that gives you some perspective.

Today we’re going to try to discuss the highlights of the storylines and our favorite and least favorite parts.

We are proud to be a part of the TV Rewind network of podcasts.

There was so much happening in this two-episode series finale that we had to record about them together! Chuck enlists the help of his family, friends, and even the employees of the Buy More to stop Nicholas Quinn from destroying everything they have. We all have an opinion about the ending and would love to hear your thoughts on these episodes as well. Join us for our discussion of the 12th and 13th episodes of the fifth season of Chuck (our series finale), Chuck Versus Sarah and Chuck Versus the Goodbye, which originally aired on January 27th, 2012. Sarah was written by Rafe Judkins and Lauren LeFranc and directed by Jay Chandrasekhar. The Goodbye was written by Chris Fedak and directed by Robert Duncan McNeill.

This podcast was filled to the brim with hosts and guests! We had the usual suspects for a finale and other great episodes, Derreck and Kimberly. We were also honored to have Graham Jones known far and wide online for his podcast that aired during the original run of Chuck called Chuck Versus the Podcast. These days you can also hear him on The TV Writer Podcast.

Check out the United We Fan documentary that was mentioned by Graham and the Chuck the Series Spotify Playlist mentioned by Kimberly.

Hello and welcome to a special edition of Chuck Rewind. We have just wrapped up our season fourth discussions and today we are doing something different. Jeff Spector reached out to me first via our website, which is how I learned the feedback page was broken, and then via Messenger. He proposed a special episode to come on with his friend Cheri to discuss all things Chuck, including visiting some shooting locations and the set.

Jeff and Cheri have had the great fortune to visit Los Angeles several times to see the filming locations and visit the Warner Brothers studio locations to see where scenes and episodes for Chuck have been filmed. Today they share with Stephanie and the audience where they’ve been, what these locations actually are compared to what they are on the show, and other inside secrets about the filming locations.

These shooting locations include The BuyMore/ Weinerlicious/ Orange Orange, The Apartment and Entrance, Sarah’s Hotel, El Compadre Mexican Restaurant, The Beaches, The Balcony/ France, The Motel, The Dream House, The Churches, The Theater, Mexico and Other Sites.

The studio locations include: Warner Brothers Studios, Warner Ranch, Universal Studios and the important filming locations for The Embassies, The Cabin, The lagoon, The garages and the Westside Medical Center.

Message Jeff on Twitter to be part of the Chuck watch party group called “Stableonthelabel.”
